DGM HQ A grey damp

12.27

DGM HQ.

A grey, damp day in Broad Chalke.

A very busy morning with significant developments in dgmlive. School Aid went up last night, and a happy boy hit the floor after reading the public statement & tasting the School Aid tracks available for download. This was after David left around eleven, a Hero. This morning Sid was asked to switch on a Savage Vibration. A Savage Vibration is a very very Hot Tickle. So, a live Crim from 1974 will be available for download later today.

These few words convey little sense of the activity underway by the entire DGM Team.

In SoundWorld I, John is working on the Solar Voyager I.2 & tells me the major programming is in place…

… while Alex looks on in disbelief…

22.16    A visit to Crimson Guitars at Tincleton this afternoon…

Ben Crowe had two guitars ready for collection: both Les Paul copies, one by Tokai & one by Fernandes.

Major point of discussion: the production line of the Happy Gigster’s Flight Case. Items of note: the HPFC case has wheels, is light & very strong, smaller than standard cases, and waterproof. We plan to put my guitar inside and immerse in a water tank for 24 hours as a test. Ben is building the HGFC prototype, for a Strat, before Christmas. Once the flight cases are underway, then, a Crimson Guitars RF model.

Back to DGM HQ & the SV I.2 with the Tokai…

… and the Fernandes…

Not everything in the SV works, and what works is noisy. More tomorrow.

T called with bad news: the thatched cottage of Keith Builder in Higher Piddle village (just outside Bredonborough), recently retired, who lives 100 yards from the front door of Toyah’s parents, has burnt to the ground. The adjoining semi-detached cottage burnt down as well. Keith & his wife have lost everything.

A much smaller magnitude of concern: the inbox is down to 126 inbox following acts of e-heroism.

Now, practising.
